This place was on tripadvisor as well as numerous Chinese websites with rave reviews of their soybean milk. We came out of the subway station and immediate saw a long line snaked around a corner. Turns out that after we turned the corner, we still had to go up to the second floor and into a food court before we could order. We started lining up at 10:25am and finally sat down to eat at 11:50am. Needless to say, we were starving and anything would have tasted great at that point! The hour and a half line up looked something like this.
Between the two of us, we ordered 豆漿 soybean milk, 粢飯 sticky rice, 厚餅 a thick bun with egg inside, and 2 fried eggs. I would have loved to have tried their savoury soy milk, but after an experience in Shanghai a few years ago, I was a bit hesitant. The soy milk was definitely the best part of this breakfast.
Honestly, it was a bit ridiculous waiting in a line for 1.5 hours. The soy milk was fantastic, and the food wasn’t bad either, but I don’t know if I would wait 1.5 hours again. Especially when there was a永和豆漿 right across the street from this place. 永和豆漿 is a big soy bean milk chain found throughout Taiwan. I can see many people giving up and just going over to 永和豆漿 instead.
