I knew that Coco Curry is a large Japanese chain that has expanded to other parts of Asia. The brand is all across Japan and easily found in any city and seeing as how I have always loved the taste of Japanese curry, I set out to see what the Coco Curry house version would be like.
It was very late by the time we sat down, so the restaurant was pretty empty and service was quick. We ended up ordering a pork cutlet curry as well as a baked rice. The curry was served with all of the rice and pork on one side and the rest of the plate was filled with curry sauce. Personally, I’d rather have had a bit more rice and a bit less curry. The curry was salty, but when paired with the rice, it was good. The pork was also nicely fried and didn’t taste oily at all.
The baked rice was delicious and I almost preferred it over the curry.
All in all, I enjoyed the simple meal and would go back again to try their other curries and other menu items.
