Fat Tire Bike Tours Barcelona

I participated in a Fat Tire Bike Tour for the first time in Barcelona and absolutely loved it.  We had a fairly large crowd that day, around 40 people, including about 8 kids. The company wasn’t sure if they’d have enough equipment for all the kids, so in the end, a couple of the older kids ended up riding on adult bikes. So if you are booking a tour that ends up with many kids on it, just be aware that they may not always have enough kid’s equipment.

The bike ride was extremely easy and relaxing. We stopped every few minutes, and the roads we took were mainly flat.  Even on the roads where there was a slant, either upwards or downwards, the slant was very subtle and you could barely notice it.

The tour took you to most of Barcelona’s main attractions incuding Plaza del Rei, Parc de la Ciutadella, the bull ring, Sagrada Familia, and Barcelonaetta. It was a great introduction to all the sights that are in the area. I would recommend taking the tour on the first or second day that you’re there, so that you have time to go back to some of these places later on to explore.  At each of the attractions, we would make a brief stop, but then continued right on, so it didn’t give you enough time to really take in the sights. 

All in all, a great tour and I look forward to participating in more of their tours in other cities.
