We arrived into Hangzhou really late at night and our taxi driver wasn’t sure of the exact location of our hotel. In hindsight, I would now know to tell the taxi driver to take me to the corner of Pinghai Road (平海路) and WuShan Road (吴山路), but back then, I didn’t realize how hidden the hotel would be. Our taxi driver was driving along Pinghai Road and thankfully we saw the hotel signs pointing us in the right direction.
The lobby and courtyard resembled ancient Chinese buildings, which was very cool. The room itself was a bit lower in standard than the 7 Days Inn I had stayed in all across China. The room was heated, but the next day, we went back to the hotel in the middle of the afternoon to drop off some things and couldn’t get the heat to work. We found out they only turn on the heat at night and turn it off around 8:00am in the mornings.
The hotel gave a free bottle of water each day and there was also free water in the lobby.
Located about a 15-20 minute walk from the lake, in an area with a great deal of shopping and restaurants, all within walking distance.
Overall, this is a good choice for the price, but not quite as clean as a normal 7 Days Inn.
