Hotel Review: Hotel Flex

I had read some contradictory reviews about this property prior to staying here, so I was a little bit nervous about what would be waiting for me.  In the end, I was pleasantly surprised.

The hotel is quite close to the Hiroshima Train Station.  It is located approximately 5 minutes away on foot.  The problem is, when you exit out of the train station, it is quite difficult to get a grasp of which direction you should be headed towards.  We must have asked about 10 people where the bridge was (you need to cross a bridge to get to the hotel) and no one seemed sure which bridge we were referring to.  Even with the help of the map, the locals weren’t too sure.

Once we found the hotel, we checked in without any issues and when we got to our rooms, we found them to be larger than expected (based on some previous reviews I had read about).  It was still quite a tight squeeze for 2 adults and 2 large suitcases, but we had been prepared for this.  The bathroom was very tiny, with barely enough space to fit even one person in there.

We had a room with a great view of the little lake outside our hotel.  Hotel Flex is very close to the metro and bus stations and about a 20 minute walk to Hondori Street.  The Peace Museum and A-Bomb Dome are about a 30 minute walk away and the Shukkeien Garden is a 10 minute walk away.
