Hotel Review: 7 Days Inn Zhuhai Gongbei Pedestrian Street

I’ve stayed at this 7 Days Inn twice and both times and had a positive experience each time.  The hotel is within a 10 minute walk to the border crossing, although you will be crossing some main roads with heavy traffic and no official pedestrian walkways.  On another note, the hotel was also less than 10 minute walk through Gongbei Pedestrian Street from one of the bus terminals.

The entrance of the hotel is overshadowed by a small market-like area with shops and restaurants selling everything from cigarettes to fruit.  The lobby is pretty much non-existent as it is only a very small desk with just enough space for one to two people behind the desk.  There are elevators in the lobby to take you up to your floor.

The rooms I’ve stayed in were clean and the water pressure in the bathroom was very good.

The main advantage of staying at this property is that it is very close to the border crossing.  It is convenient to check out early in the morning to walk across to Macau.  Another plus is that it is a block in from the main road, so it is quite quiet.  There is a big supermarket down the street as well as a mall with restaurants (including a McDonald’s) just around the corner.  Lastly, it’s called 7 Days Inn Gongbei Pedestrian Street for a reason.  The hotel is just a few steps away from the entrance of the Gongbei Pedestrian Street which is filled with cheap restaurants and shops.
