Hotel Review: CHO Hotel 町．記憶旅店

We chose CHO Hotel in Ximending for the last two nights of our trip to Taiwan because we knew that we wanted time to explore Ximending.

The hotel is fairly new and didn’t even have an official website last summer when we were attempting to book it.  We ended up communicating with the hotel via their facebook page. They are located about a 5 minute walk from Ximending MRT station.  As the hotel was not on the main road, it was much quieter and made for a very pleasant stay.

As the property was fairly new, the cafe that they were building next door was not yet open. They offered breakfast vouchers at a place down the street instead, but we were told that eventually when the cafe opens, the breakfast vouchers would be for their own cafe.  

The hotel had a very artsy feel to it. It was very modern, clean and had lots of neat little knick knacks. Their check in package came in a cardboard envelope filled with all sorts of neat mementos, Including a puzzle piece, where guests could write their feedback on and then post onto the lobby wall or elevator.

We left a comment on their Facebook page while we were still there and they acknowledged us right away when we stepped out of our rooms.  Our only complaint about this place that they didn’t have rooms with 2 beds. Rooms were on the small side and we didn’t have too much room to open up 2 suitcases. But aside from that, I still think it was worth it to stay there!
