Someone told me that I couldn’t visit Melbourne without trying a Halal Snack Pack (HSP). It was described to me as a cheap, hangover meal, which basically meant it would be high calorie and greasy. For $10AUD, this is a heck of a deal as even the small could have fed 2 people. The first stage, in its original form right after being served:

This immediately reminded me of poutine. It had a base of thick cut fries, topped with either chicken or lamb and then smothered in up to 3 sauces of your choice. It definitely fit the high calorie and greasy bill. It was delicious but it’s one of those things that you really only need to eat once.
