I had never tried In & Out Burgers prior to this trip but have always heard about how popular they are. So when I found one near Fisherman’s Wharf, I decided that I needed to see what the craze was about.
The place was crowded and after waiting in line for a few minutes, I was able to place my order for a cheeseburger meal. Because of the crowds, I had to wait a good 10 minutes or so before my number was called.
When I finally received my order, it looked like every other fast food chain meal but I knew it had to taste good if everyone rants and raves about this place.
Well, I was thoroughly disappointed and don’t know that I would ever eat at In & Out Burgers again. The fries tasted like they’d been sitting out for a long time, but the burger was the biggest disappointment of all. The bun was toasted, but instead of being “crispy” it was just “hard”. I didn’t really understand the craze with this place and am hoping that it was just this particular location.
