Touted as one of the must visit places in Korea, I was finally able to make my way here on the tail end of my trip to Yeosu. The Korean Folk Village is located in Yongin, which is more than 2 hours away from where I live, but I had always wanted to see it since it is a place that best exemplifies traditional Korean culture.
The Folk Village was more like an outdoor, open air museum that displays what a Korean village would have looked like a few hundred years ago. There were homes, a market, and public squares. There were also a number of very impressive performances throughout the day.
The Korean Folk Village is located close to Everland and easily accessible via a complimentary shuttle from Suwon Station. It is definitely a nice place to visit to learn about traditional Korean culture.
