Anping is famous for an old Tree House as well as being an old Dutch colony in the 1600s. The little town of Anping (now a part of present day Tainan) was ruled for 38 years by the Dutch. And over the course of these short 38 years, the Dutch established a couple of important buildings including Fort Zeelandia, a fortress that is still standing today.

Getting there: From the exit of the main train station, you will notice a traffic circle. Follow the traffic circle in a counterclockwise direction until you get to the corner of Chenggong Rd. There is a bus stop for the #2 bus right before you turn onto Chenggong Rd.
It was my second visit to the Anping Tree House and it is basically this old building where trees had grew into it over time. It is quite a fascinating site to see the development of the trees. During the Japanese occupation era, the space was used as an office and warehouse for the Japan Salt Company. After World War II, the space was abandoned and since then the roots and branches of the trees have wrapped around the building.
Anping Harbour
We were lucky enough to watch the sunset on Anping Harbour and decided to stick around for a few photo ops.
