Piazzale Michelangelo

I took a 7:00pm bus from the main train station to Piazza Michelangelo to see the sun set.  Many people had the same idea as it was pretty crowded up at the top of the hill.

The bus drops you off at a parking lot and you are just a few steps from the Piazza, where another fake David was found.

There were also a number of vendors in the parking lot selling all sorts of souvenirs and refreshments.  Most people were just standing around and enjoying the view.

On the other side of the Piazzale, a different, greener view was offered.

It was a wonderful way to spend some time watching the sunset.  If you time it perfectly, you don’t even need to pay for the bus ride back down the hill, as each bus ticket is valid for 90 minutes from the time you board the first bus.
