We chose to stay at the Puyuma Hotel due to the convenience of its location.  From the Tainan train station, we took a short cab ride to the hotel, which cost us NT$85.  If you’d rather walk, it should take approximately 20-25 minutes to reach the hotel on foot.  There are quite a few tourist attractions within walking distance from the hotel, the closest one being the Chihkan Towers.  The #2 bus also stopped right outside the Chihkan Towers to take us to Anping. 

The hotel lobby is on the 7th floor of the building, and the whole place gave off an older feel, similar to a late 80s/early 90s hotel in North America. The furniture and decor were outdated, but the beds were very comfortable. The room we were put into was dark, with no window, but was sufficient for a one night stay.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.  This was a good, economical hotel choice if you don’t mind the outdated décor.
