Aside from trying lots of different snitzels in Austria, I was also able to try some different restaurants/cafes in Salzburg.
Café Mozart
Address: Getreidegasse 22, 5020, Austria
Phone:+43 662 843958
Beginning with Café Mozart, I had popped into there for a quick meal and ended up ordering their daily special which was meatloaf and vegetables with apple cake for dessert.
Overall, the food wasn’t the best, but it was a good deal, as I paid €9.50 for the meal. Service was fantastic and the café offered complimentary Wi-Fi.
Café Tomaselli
Address: Alter Markt 9, 5020 Salzburg, Austria
Phone:+43 662 8444880
After learning that Café Tomaselli was a place that was frequented by Mozart, I had it on my list of “must visit” in Salzburg. The café has been in operation since 1705 and offers a very traditional Austrian Café experience, where the waiters are dressed in a black dinner jacket and bow tie and will serve your coffee. The cake server (usually a woman in an apron) will then bring around a tray with a huge selection of cakes and pastries for you to choose from. The café has both indoor and outdoor seating, but during nice days, the outdoor seating is always full.
