The Windiest Street In The World – Lombard St

I think I’ve traveled down Lombard Street at least 4 times and I’ve even walked up Lombard Street once.  I’ve driven down, walked down, been driven down and even taken a go kart down once before.  It is one of the most photographed places in San Francisco and deservingly so.  The views from the top are breathtaking, and the views from the bottom are just as amazing.

I think that being able to drive down this street was one of the coolest experiences ever.  There are many steep roads in this area of San Francisco, but none of them wind the way that Lombard street does.  I feel so bad for the people living on this street, but I guess they must know what they’re getting themselves into.  The last day I was in San Francisco, I made my way back here again to walk up and down the street.  At that time, I saw a lady knocking on each of the doors and asking the residents to sign off on allowing a film crew to film in front of their houses. Again, how frustrating it must be to constantly have tourists and film crews around the entrance of your home.
